World Oral Health Day 2020: What All You Need To Know About Cavities; Tips and Tricks to Prevent Your Teeth from Dental Problems
Cavities, also known as dental caries may be thought of as a oral teeth problem but infact it is a health problem that can affect any one of any age who has teeth. Every year, World Oral Health Day is celebrated on 20 March. The main motive to celebrate this day is to spread awareness about cavities and its effects on overall health. 

The day demonstrates the overall importance of  well being and maintainance of overall health. However, it is also imperative to understand what exactly cavities is. 



What Are Cavities?

When the teeth damages it looks like cavaties. In simple language they're usually brown-black degradation in the teeth. Cavaties are permanent decay on the hard surface of your teeth. Cavities are often caused by eating sugary food and drinks,  eating all the time and not flossing, and not maintaining proper oral hygiene. 

When cavaties occur in teeth, it is necessary to take essential treatment. If cavaties are left untreated they can cause infection in mouth.


To cure or fight from cavaties, here are a few things you can do from your end: 

Brush your teeth twice a day.

Use fluoride toothpaste and clean your teeth after every meal.  

Rinse your mouth frequently

Make a routine to visit to your dentist. 

You can also go for fluoride treatments, as per your dentist advise.  

Regular check-ups and flossing habits are considered the best protection against cavities and tooth decay.
